There are so many free website utilites out there that we could start an entire website on just collating them...but this one is in the top 10.
With cheaper broadband and hard disk space, as our sites get larger and larger, the trend is to keep everything - even beyond its normal relevancy. But rather than continually redesigning the navigational tools for the site, why not just add a Google search? Google provides for free this extension of their massive search engine, in which you can select what kind of search you'd like (the whole Internet, content controlled Internet, Internet and your site, just your site, and customized result for your site). It can be so customized that you'd swear it was your own corporate search engine's results and not Google's. Below is an example of a KAUi-specific search:
If you have more than 5,000 pages in the site, you may actually want to switch to using one of their hardware search engines that you can add to your IT department and fully customize.
If you're curious about either of these approaches, be sure to contact us, and we will be glad to help.
